Benefits of weighted items
At Makes Sense, we approach each child as an individual with their own talents and one-of-a-kind needs. Weighted blankets and items carry such a positive influence of the development and calming of so many individuals. These influences are as follows:
1 in every 68 kids are on the Autism, spectrum and even more alarming 1 in every 54 boys is diagnosed. Awareness and action is so crucial for these children. In addition to individuals on the spectrum so many others can benefit too:
Our company and store was created and runs on the mind set of no child left behind. We pride ourselves in being a sensory based store, providing a wide variety of products to help those affected. At our store everyone is able to see and test our products prior to purchasing. Our bigger items such as therapy swings, fiber optic lights, crash mats, ect. are available for use in our sensory rooms prior to purchase to ensure a perfect fit.
Our goal is to create a warm, open environment where both parents and children feel safe enough to ask questions, explore and seek answers. We strive to provide every child with the tools to surpass his or her own personal best, and help them over the hills and through the valleys of their growing years. Makes Sense is particularly proud of its one of a kind, custom made weighted products. This allows us to customize to fit each individuals needs.
